A Rare Gem

This is the magnificent Paraiba Tourmaline. There are simply not enough superlatives to express how magnificent this stone is.

For every 10,000 diamonds mined, only one Paraiba Tourmaline is found. It is truly a rare gem. The high copper deposits found in this stone give it an almost neon glow under low light conditions. Artificial light is not needed to enhance what is naturally occurring in this gem.

Shane was able to source this spectacular stone for a client and he then designed and crafted the setting to showcase it to its fullest. The photo below was taken on our daughter’s finger in ordinary indoor daylight with no artificial lighting, which showcases just how brilliant this stone is.

This was a truly remarkable piece and gave Shane one of the highlights of his career in being able to work with something so rare and beautiful.
